Is Good the Enemy of Great?

Jim Collins, in his bestselling book, Good to Great, which is based on his research of companies that made the leap from good to great says, “the vast majority of companies never become great, precisely because the vast majority become quite good — and that is their main problem.”

Why is it that the vast majority of people settle for being good when greatness is within reach?”

Why do churches do this?  Why do ministry leaders settle for good, when great is what we should be about when involved in kingdom work?  Are we lazy?  Are we scared of the body count that will result when we require great?

Hard questions.
