Keith McFarland’s new book, The Breakthrough Company: How Everyday Companies Become Extraordinary Performers,
has a great insight for business as well as churches. “When a leadership team realizes that strategy is really the single most important opportunity for learning within a company, it is free to drop some of the more cumbersome trappings of traditional strategic planning.” If you are a church leader don’t freak out. This statement has nothing to do with the evangelistic, biblically mandated principals that we should be about! It has everything to do with methodology, sacred cows, dead programs, mis-guided stake holders, and sponges. I think Keith must have read Simple Church.
